One endpoint represents one sending facility or site — a hospital, a clinic, a research site. Within a facility, issue one certificate per device (scanner, PACS, workstation, archive), so each device authenticates independently and can be revoked without affecting the others. No. Dicomly is a stateless proxy. DICOM bytes flow from the sender through our infrastructure to your destination URL in real time. Nothing is written to disk. No PHI is ever persisted on Dicomly infrastructure.

The default is prepaid credit: top up via card (minimum €20), and endpoint fees plus egress are deducted in real time. Auto-recharge is on by default so your balance stays funded automatically. Every deduction is itemised in the dashboard and exported as a monthly invoice PDF.

You only pay for the time it existed. The €10 is a monthly rate, but it is calculated by the second — so an endpoint you keep for three days costs about €1, not €10. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee: delete it whenever you like and the charging stops at that second.

Your account enters a 7-day grace period. All endpoints continue to accept and forward studies normally during that time. You get email and dashboard alerts at day 1, 3, 6, and 7. After grace, new incoming DICOM transfers return an error until the balance is topped up. Endpoints and certificates are never deleted by a billing event.

We target 99.5% monthly availability for the Dicomly gateway service. For self-serve accounts, this is an operational target without financial service credits. If your destination application is unreachable or returns an error, Dicomly immediately returns a DIMSE failure to the sender so it retries on its standard schedule (no data is buffered or queued), so an outage delays a transfer rather than losing a study. Enterprise agreements add a contractual SLA with service credits and scheduled operational review — contact sales and we will put the commitment in writing.

Dicomly returns a DIMSE error to the sender, which then retries on its own schedule — typically every 5–30 minutes for up to 24 hours. This is the same retry behaviour the sender would see if it were sending directly to an unavailable DICOM server. No data is buffered or queued on Dicomly infrastructure.

Nothing is stored — DICOM bytes stream straight through to your endpoint, so there is no PHI at rest on our side. Every device authenticates with its own mTLS certificate, infrastructure is EU-resident, and a BAA/DPA is free to sign. Full detail is on the Security page.

Yes. The first endpoint is free, forever — no credit card required. A €5 signup credit covers your first ~30 GB of egress, so you can wire up a real integration end to end before paying anything. After that, egress is €0.15/GB; inbound from the sender is always free. Provision more endpoints whenever you're ready.

Yes — every account includes one custom domain, free. Point dicom.yourdomain.com at Dicomly with a CNAME, verify it in the console, and hand your own address to your hospitals instead of ours. It's a DNS-only change (no certificate swap), so it's free and goes live the moment verification passes.

Credit you paid for is refunded to the card you paid with, minus the payment-processor fee. The €5 signup credit is a free grant, so it isn't refunded. Payments older than about six months can't be reversed by our payment processor, so credit from those isn't refundable. Your endpoints and certificates are revoked when you close, and we keep your billing records for accounting. To close your account, contact support.
